Hong Kong

Considering that Hong Kong is more densely populated and more economically developed than mainland China, it is not surprising that Hong Kong is much further advanced in terms of adoption of broadband.

The number of broadband subscribers at the end of 2004 was approximately 1.5 million (compared to a total population of 6.9 million), so that Hong Kong was not far behind South Korea in terms of broadband penetration.
