Emmanuel has worked for 25 years in the energy sector, in different environments such as utilities, financial markets and consulting. He was employed during 4 years for utility EDF, during 6 years as the head of the carbon and energy markets analysis team on the trading floor of Société Générale. As a consultant he spent 5 years at McKinsey & Company, 2 years at Accenture Strategy and has now been with Roland Berger for 7 years. He lived for 2 years in India and managed projects in multiple countries including Northern Africa, Lebanon, New Guinea and Comoros.
Emmanuel is deeply knowledgeable in every part of the energy value chain, from resource exploitation to energy services, through equipment manufacturing and carbon markets. This enables him to anticipate the formidable changes at work in the industry, driven mainly by the rapid improvement of decentralized generation economics, the decentralization of energy systems and the penetration of digital technologies. He helps his clients adapt their business models as well as identify new opportunities, as historic sources of value and industrial organization paradigms are shattered.
Throughout his career, Emmanuel has authored many research papers and spoke in a large number of high-level conferences. He regularly appears in the specialized and generalist press.
He holds a MBA from ESSEC business school and a PhD. in Energy Economics.
